Drawing and Illustration have always been my vocations and paths to self-knowledge and individuality. I propose a concept in which the image is a vehicle of what one feels. The image is at service of the human emotions and affections. More than just convey a message, the image must invite one to feel something. To think about children’s illustrations is, in this regard, an opportunity to contribute to awakening a child’s sensibility and the education of human affect.
My first publication of an illustrated book was the result of an illustration contest where I was awarded the first prize. “Uma Dúzia de Histórias Divertidas”, with texts of Jonas Ribeiro was published by PAULUS editora in 2017.
Since then I have dedicated myself to achieve an even better professional performance, whether in client services or committing to deadlines, and by additionally investing in better tools and courses for artistic development. Currently, I have been dedicating my time to courses where I have sought to learn and improve my skills with experienced professionals in areas such as character design, digital painting, and drawing fundamentals. Although my work is quite intuitive and a result of my constant creative process, I am obsessed with learning and trying new processes, both from traditional and more specific personal experiences. Nowadays, I work extensively with Photoshop and Illustrator, but I also have experience with Premiere and After Effects.
